Fastest Known Times

With limited time off work and a love for the mountains I have found that fastpacking is a wonderful way for me to see a lot very quickly. At the moment I have no current future aspirations, but that always seems to change in the spring as the snow starts to melt and the mountains call me.

My first year in 2014 I did a supported attempt at the Tahoe Rim Trail. Since then I have moved to unsupported. It seemed a more pure way of experiencing the mountains and puts everyone on a level playing field. My supported attempt had a minimal crew (2-3 people) compared to some of the large productions I have seen out there with supporters muling gear for the athlete. At the end of the day being unsupported is just the experience that I wanted to have. I love being out there by myself, just me and the mountains.
